Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Do Small Red Spots On The Torso And Forearms Indicate?
I get these small red spots on my torso and forearms. They appear and disappear. The red spots do not itch and are not raised like a bump. This has been going on for about 4 days now. I don t feel sick but do feel a little fatigued and slight headache. This situation for me does occur about once a year and lasts for a day or two. This time it seems to be lasting longer. Any advise appreciated.
You have symptoms of red spots on the torso and forearms which seems to be due to an allergic reaction, side effect to certain medications, sensitivity to sunlight, eczema, and seborrheic dermatitis.
I would suggest you keep the site clean and dry. Apply calamine soothing lotion to them. You should apply over the counter antibiotics ointment and take antihistamines like Benadryl and protect it from sun ray exposure.
If the condition doesn't get well then consult the dermatologist for proper examination. The doctor may prescribe corticosteroid ointment, antibiotics or immunosuppressants.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Harry Maheshwari, Dentist
