General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Sorry to hear about his disease. Hallucinations in patient with Parkinson disease need specialist assessment. Because there may be many reason for it.
1. The drugs used for the treatment of PD may commonly cause psychosis and hallucinations.
2. Sometimes Parkinson plus syndrome. Levi bodies may be the cause.
3. Drugs that are used for treating hallucinations may worsen PD.

So the situation is complex, hence its best treated by specialists. So talk to her primary treating doctor as the drugs may be reduced or replaced.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mahboob Ur Rahman, General & Family Physician
