What Do Red Spots In The Throat Indicate?

Red spots on throat, What could cause it? Saw my Dr. today he said I had red spots on my throat. I asked why. He responded with we will have to find out. I have allergies and asthma. My voice has been rather hoarse for some time. I have some coughing at times. No fever, I do not tend to run fever. Just wondering if I should be concerned or not. It is reminds me of the way my fathers Lung cancer started. I am a little nervous about this.

Red spots in the throat could be due to bacterial or viral infection. Even sometimes allergies could lead to such findings. Please get examined by ans ENT surgeon for management.
