What Do Red Rashes On The Back Indicate?

I have a normal temp of 97.5, I have been 98.9 , 99.5 , 98, after flu shot. Red rash appeared on my back small patches, on one shoulder and two on lower back. Then appeared on arm, not shingles. Red swelled spots on both arms. Tonight a new blister type bump appeared, temp 99.5, I ve been in touch with my doctor, I m using Benadryl. and roll on lignocaine. I ve been icing the spots. Sent pictures to doctor, and went in to show Nurse Practioner, I had a flu shot Sept 29 and usually have reaction, for the past 3 years have had no reaction. Could this be a longer reaction to the flu shot? tonight blister is on top of left arm. I am 72 years old. blister is warm but I took another Benadryl. Temp 99.5. Do you have an idea?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

* As there are multiple eruptions over the body following flu shot, it is indicative of reaction to the flu shot itself.

* I recommend a tub bath with Epsom salt, lavender oil and systemic care with anti-histamine, anti inflammatory drugs.

* Maintain hydration with plenty of liquids and keep a chart of temperatures level to report to the doctor.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
