Painful and tender bumps on palate with tested positive for
influenza looks like
Abscess secondary to infection..
Other cause can be inflamed minor salivary glands post infection.
You need not to worry as they will resolve once the infection subside.
However, it will be better if you send me images of the bums for a better understanding of the lumps..
For now you can gargle with
Lidocaine mouthwash to reduce pain.
Take anti inflammatory painkillers like
Ibuprofen to reduce pain and inflammation.
If you are down with fever then you can take a combination of
Acetaminophen with Ibuprofen.
Do warm saline gargles and also chlorohexidine mouthwash gargles..
Avoid using tobacco to prevent further irritation and pain..
Do not worry as it is not cancerous as it has happened just 2 days back due to infection..
