What Do Raised Veins On The Thigh Of A Toddler Indicate?
My 2yr old daughter has had a raised red and blue mark that looks like a cluster of veins on her thigh since birth. It hasn t changed and is sore to the touch. I m just unsure of what it may be and if it s something that will need to be removed or if it ll just go away on it s own.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Raised red and blue colored lesion on thigh could be due to malformation of blood vessels. These type of lesions of lesions are usually harmless and cause only cosmetic problem. However, you may consult a pediatric surgeon for clinical assessment and regular follow up.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
