What Do Presence Of Ants Near Body Fluids Indicate?

I have colds, I always blow my nose in a tissue then throw it, I found ants at my trash can and they were all on my crampled tissue that I used to blow my nose, also I m on my period and found ants on my used pads that I also throw at my trash can. I am really scared, do I have diabetes? we also have a family member both on my mother and father s side who have diabetes.

Hello, Almost all body fluids do have mucus, proteins and some quantity of glucose. Ants may get attracted to any of these. It does not mean one have diabetes. However, if the voided urine attracts ants then it shows presence of glucose in the urine, a sign of diabetes. Since there is a family h/o diabetes, it is better to get blood glucose checked to rule out any doubt. Thanks.
