What Do Pain And Numbness In The Hands Indicate?

Hi I am a 41 yr old female and experiencing pain on my hand sometimes running up my arm. it feels like its very soar from inside some areas numbness and maybe like a pinched nerve feels like there s no flow or circulation going in. Now I did not bruise my arm or hand. What could it be?
