Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Dear Doctor, My doubt is regarding serum bilirubin level and LDL cholestrol. I have undergone blood sample test. the results were serum bilirubin is 2.2 (mgs% or mg/100ml) and LDL cholestrol is 141 mgs% .I am male 24 yrs old. The Ultra sound scan test result impressions are Mild hepatitis, Patent C.B.D and cystitis. Doctor prescribed these medicine Ursodeoxycholic acid tablets IP 300mg (Udiliv 300), Pantoprazole tablets (pansped 40). Please see the attached reports and suggest.
Your blood tests and Ultrasound scan definitely depicts hepatitis, the cause of which had to be found out.
If you do have alcohol I would recommend you to stop taking it.
The medication that has been given would definitely help improve the liver damage, please get a blood test done like serum hepatitis profile, to know the reason for the infection.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Haleema Yezdani, General & Family Physician
