What Do Low Blood Pressure Levels Indicate?
Hi My mum had a triple by pass operation 12 weeks. She was discharged from her 6 week check up a few weeks ago and the surgeon changed her tablets, but her blood pressure is 167 over 57. Awaiting blood tests results which was taken today, hopefully increase in blood pressure tablets. Hopefully this will help? Very worried. Thank you

A change in blood pressure medication should help control her blood pressure. There are a number of different families of blood pressure meds that can be combined to normalize the readings.
The D.A.S.H diet (dietary approaches to stop hypertension), may also assist in blood pressure control.
