Hi! For about 6-8 weeks I am getting these light spots or blotches on my skin. increasingly so! more noticeable as I spend time out side in sun and tan. I am 20 year old Caucasian male. Born and raised in Arizona. I have had friends who had similar spotches on their skin.. saying Doctor told them it was a yeast infection on the skin.. or something. Is that possible? what do I do? Colton
Hi Thanks for posting onHCM A skin infection by a fungus is possible.Other possible causes may include: contact dermatitis, auto-immune disorder, vitiligo, skin moles.Sun burns are less likely given the duration of symptoms. However, i will suggest you see a Dermtologist for examination and treatment.Treatment option will depend on the underlying cause. Hope this will help Regards
