What Do Itchy Rashes All Over The Body Indicate?

I am asking about my daughter s skin rush that appeared all over the body after taking a bath with epsom salt. It looked like very small dots and they were itchy. After taking one dose of benadryl in the morning the spots became more visible and slightly bigger in diameter. They are raised in the center with a small circle around each of them. They don t itch now. Please advise. Thank you.

Hi Dear ,

Itchy rashes all over the body seems to be due to allergic reaction and could be contact dermatitis and eczema. I would suggest you to maintain proper hygiene and take antihistamine like bendryl. Avoid applying any cosmetic and apply only petroleum jelly. Apply cold compresses and avoid pricking and itching these areas. Consult dermatologist for proper examination. Doctor may order skin test or allergy test along with blood test. Doctor may prescribe immunosuppressants along with antibiotics and anti inflammatory and corticosteroid ointment .

Best Wishes,
