What Do Itchy Brown Spots Around The Jawline Indicate?

I had a light brown/tan spot on my face (under cheekbone near jawline) and I was scratching an itch and it got scratched completely off (almost like a scab would scratch off). It bled a little, just wondering what it is and if I should be worried, my grandfather had skin cancer on his face (didn t know if that mattered or not).

Hello,
Welcom to
Healthcaremagic.com.
It can be simply a pimple, or a follicle with abscess which you are comparing with your grand father's basal cell carcinoma.

You must watch to it, if it heals completely within next week or two you don't need to worry. If is remains unsealed more then two weeks you must consult a general surgeon for further evaluation.

During mean time you must keep it clean. Wash it with hydrogen peroxide anticeptic.
Also malignant ulcers are painless and non itching, so it seems you don't have any serious problem.
Hope my answer will be helpfull for you.

Regards
