Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My husband has bites on him and has noticed what he thought were chiggers on his body. He has tried lots of things like taking baths w a tiny bit of bleach, used sulfer soap , etc. He visited a minute clinic where they said yes it is some sort of a mite but were not able to determine what kind. They prescribed him permetherin but it hasn t worked. Now here we are with what seems like little worms when we look under the microscope... they are in his mouth, under his toenails... and on the actual bites that are on his body . This has been an absolute nightmare for him. We have an appointment to the dermitologist on Monday. We know that it sounds crazy to say that worms or bugs are coming from his mouth but here is an image of what he is taking out of his mouth and nose.... as I said, under the microscope it looks like tiny worms of some sort.

What Do Insect Bites On The Body Indicate?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice. * According to my long surgical experience, insect bite marks come under control after initiation of therapy within 24 - 48 hours. * If persistent beyond this period, then other considerations as allergy or systemic inflammatory response must be evaluated further to treat. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
