Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I ve recently had some strobe flashes in one eye, and had a complete visual exam this week without mentioning it to my ophthalmologist, mostly because I don t trust assistants for their advice or their communication skills with the doctor. Never told the doctor, but she didn t find anything wrong. Did that exam rule out eye damage and what should I do next?

Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like change in vitreous gel , inflammation in the eye's interior , cataract surgery , YAG laser eye surgery , diabetes , change in focus on retina , optic nerve dysfunction and migraine .
