What Do Flashes Of Light In The Eyes Indicate?

I ve recently had some strobe flashes in one eye, and had a complete visual exam this week without mentioning it to my ophthalmologist, mostly because I don t trust assistants for their advice or their communication skills with the doctor. Never told the doctor, but she didn t find anything wrong. Did that exam rule out eye damage and what should I do next?

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have back pain and kidney pain . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like change in vitreous gel , inflammation in the eye's interior , cataract surgery , YAG laser eye surgery , diabetes , change in focus on retina , optic nerve dysfunction and migraine . I would suggest you to consult ophthalmologist for proper diagnosis . Doctor may perform surgery like vitrectomy procedure . Doctor may also refer you to neurologist in case of migraine . Doctor may prescribe vasograine , betablockers , frusamide and anti depressants .
