General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Hormonal imbalance is the main cause of delayed periods. When periods does not resume with Meprate, other hormonal pills like Progynova 2 mg can be tried. Pelvic ultrasound, LH and estradiol levels and thyroid function test should be taken to detect any abnormalities.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Saranya Ramadoss, General & Family Physician
