What Do Burning Sensations In The Sternum Area Indicate?

I have had a pacemaker 2 years. I have a burning sensation in area of pacemaker and rib pain I also have protruding veins in bicep of left arm. My left thumb turns blue and I will have a sharp pain every so often in heart area. Can my pacemaker be causing this? I have a pinch nerve in c5and c6 as well. Not sure what to do.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

No, the pain is not due to the pacemaker. But due to pinch nerve C5 and C6. So, I highly recommend consulting further with a neurologist and orthopaedic specialist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
