What Do Burning And Twitching Sensation On The Legs Indicate?

My symptoms, My legs and arms twitching once an while and sometimes I have burning sensation on my back, legs, and arms. I had an EMG done last week and then the next 2 days after that I felt like I had electricity on my arms and legs, which made my index finger shake for practically a day. I received my results for the EMG and it came back normal. I ve also had a lumbar, and head MRI and both came back fine. Basically, they don t know what I have yet, I ve been like this for 2 months now. Thanks, -Ana

Hi,

The lesion may be in spinal cord level or nerve root level or neuro muscular junction level or at muscle fibre level.

Possible causes may be restlessness leg syndrome or anxiety or anemia or alcohol with drawel or sedative drug withdrawal, etcetera.

Until examination is done, it is difficult to say what it is. Please consult your neurophysician, he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
