What Do Black Spot Sin Vision After Eye Injury Indicate?

I was punched in the eye last night and today I have a mild black eye, but I also have black spots in my vision. The ER doctor didn t seem too concerned with it because I could move my eye okay and was more concerned with my other related injuries. I m just concerned by these black spots and want to know if I should be or not.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
Black spots in vision can be due toinjury to the retina itself which must have caused some amount of damage at small spots whichin turn causes black spots.
It is very important to actually do a retinal scan by a opthalmoligist which will help to find the exact diagnosis and treat accordingly.
If it is minor injury it will heal ltself with time. But to get it confirmed it is important to consult a opthalmoligist so as to examine the eye and be sure of it.
I hope i have answered your query well.
Thank you
