What Do Acute Chest Pain And Elevated Heart Rate Indicate?

Hi sorry to bother, I am an actor and need someone to help me craified this lines.

45-year-old man with acute onset, tearing chest pain. Heart rate is 110, 140 over 56 right arm. 100 over palp left. Respirations 18. Gave him Nitro....

What does this mean? Is there different blood pressure on the arms. What’s respiration 18. Nitro? Is nitroglycerine? What is this use for?

Hi,

There is a difference in blood pressure between the right and leg arms of 40 mmHg. Tearing chest pain combining with blood pressure difference in arms most likely indicate aortic dissection. It is a condition when the intimal (internal) layer of the aorta tear from its wall. The condition needs urgent medical attention.

Nitroglycerin is used to decrease blood flow to the heart. It reduces the workload of the heart and decreases blood pressure.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
