What Do Absence Of Fetal Heartbeats During Pregnancy Indicate?

Hi, I am 9 wks pregnant, last week i went to general check. Doc said after scaning, she could not find babies heartbeat and she suggested to terminate the pregnancy. So, I requested to doc let me wiat 2 more wks. On which wk can we find babies heart beat. how they calculate the wks count? Thanks in Advance, Anjali.

Hi, generally the heart beat is present in baby after 6 weeks. That's why your doctor suggested to terminate the pregnancy. If you want to wait, you can wait for one more week and repeat the test.. Weeks are calculated according to the measurement of the baby in mm. You can calculate weeks from your last period date also. If you get pain and bleed8ng in between, consult your doctor immediately. Hope it helps.
