Hi im hema physiotherapist.
Cpk levels are elevated with muscle
injury. All muscles, skeletal, cardiac and smooth muscles release CpK on injury. Some drugs and alcohol can also damage muscle and cause high Cpk.
Her diet is unlikely to affect CPK levels directly, because our body only produces as much CPK as it needs -- but the diet may play a role in the rate at which your body uses CPK, No matter how much
creatine we eat, our body won't build more CPK unless it's needed. A high CPK level is not a thing to befixed -- it's more an indicator that something else needs to be fixed.
Rest and hydration can reduce CPK. It would be advisable to avoid strenuous activities and
stress.
There isn't any dietary treatement because it isn't something you do or don't eat- it's an enzyme produced by the body in response to muscle damage. There isn't a medicine to drop the levels because it is only a symptom, not the actual disorder. If she have elevated levels detected, you need to discuss this with your doctor further and repeat test.
Hope the information helps.
In doubt do write to us.
