Hi
Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query. As you have unprotected sex you should better rule out STDs. Is the bump and end of urethra painless and like a burnt lesion. ? In such case dark field microscopy should be carried out to rule out syphilis. But if it is blister like lesion then it can be herpes. You can also give urine for chlamydia and gonorrhoea. HIV Duo can be done after 1 month of exposure with almost 99% accuracy. In such even if there is negative results I would recommend using doxycycline for 1 week which will cover for chlamydia, gonorrhoea and syphilis.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
