Hello,
Welcom
It can be congenital and does not have any problem associated with. Mediastinal tori are found in some people and these are micro anatomical defect and it can't effect the normal life.

It can also be infection of the region
.
You must visit a doctor to get it evalvated though most of the times it is not because of any pathological cause.
Hope my answer will help you and you will write to us if you feel any need in future.
