What Could Sudden Increase In BP With Tight And Painful Chest Mean?
my bp is 148/98 and pulse 100 resting. This is sudden. One month ago, 120/80 pulse around 78. My chest feel tight and pain in the center of my back between shoulder blades. My resting pulse was at 113 last night. What would cause the sudden increa?

such sudden increase of bp is mostly due to secondary causes like
severe anxiety
atherosclerosis
diseases of aorta
conns etc.
i should advise you to have a ECG,ECHO,CXR PA VIEW,PLASMA RENIN LEVEL
and also consult a cardiologist with the reports,
