What Could Sudden Fluttering Feeling On Top Left Side Of Head Indicate?

Occasionally I get a fluttering feeling on the top left side of my head. This onsets suddenly and makes me dizzy. It feels as though something is squeezing or pinching my brain. The feeling lasts about 15 seconds. No trouble with vision during these episodes.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Dear user,

I really understand your concern.

Based on your introduction, you have a neurological condition called tics. But it's nothing to worry about!

Tics are rapid, repetitive, involuntary contractions of a group of muscles and they can start with a feeling of tension that builds up inside you.

If they don't interfere with with your school, work or everyday life there's no need for treatment.

Just try to ignore the tic, because drawing attention to it may make it worse.

All the best!
Dr. Elton
