What Could Soft Lumps On Chest Region Related To?
Today, my nurse practioner noticed a soft lump in the middle of my chest--no skin discoloration nor have I noticed it before. I can't remember the medical term she gave it; however she mentioned that it could be a fatty deposit and a Dermatologist could drain it and referred me to one. I'm looking for the medical term so that I can give that information to the my dermatologist?

it is best if you consult with a doctor, preferably a general surgeon, for medical and physical examination. based from your description, it could be a cyst (a sebaceous or a keratinous type), a fibroma, or a lipoma ('fatty deposit'). these lesions can occur anywhere in the body and have the tendency to recur. management (medical and surgical) will be directed accordingly.
