What Could Small Growth In Tongue Indicate?

i recently looked in the back of my son's throat to see if it was red and when he stuck out his tonge so i could look back there it looked like there was a small growth coming up the back of his throat on the back side (simialr to that little thing that hangs down in the back of your throat...what could this possibly be???

Hi, thanks for your query. It could be tonsil on either side or uvula in centre. These are normal structure of the throat.
