What Could Sinus With Nose Bleed Suggest?

So I'm having some normal sinus gunk- complete with stuffy and run nose, mostly yellow with the occasional green and red, and coughing. Then today I got a massive nosebleed. I've had random nosebleeds before but this one was awful. Twice I pulled out a long strand of something. It didn't feel like snot as it was substantial and rubbery. It was also covered in blood so I can't see anything besides general shape and length. Should I be worried about this?

Whenever you have a sinus irritation you can get some bleeding. Using nasal saline regularly can help with this. I would not worry unless the bleeding does not stop. I that happens you will need to go to Emergency Department.
