What Could Sharp Pain On Butt Crack And Rectum Suggest?

For the past week I have had pain in my butt. The sharp pain is between the top of my butt crack and my rectum. The skin on either cheek looks normal however the skin feels as though it s thickening and it s so painful. I can barely move. Have taken Tylenol and that helps a little for about 45 minutes. Planning on going to the doctor tomorrow but want answers now if you can give them. Thank you.

Hi,

Pain in intergluteal area may be due to intergluteal intertrigo. It may be due to candidal infection superadded by staphylococcal infection. You consult dermatologist for firm diagnosis. Still, you may follow as below...

- antihistaminics like levocetirizine
- oral steroids in tappering dose
- short course of antibiotics
- antifungal tab like ketoconazole
- combined cream of antibiotics and antifungal
- cleanse with dettol water.

I hope this would help you...

Thanks.
