What Could Severe Dryness Of Lips After Sustaining An Injury Indicate?

I recently fell off my bike and injured a few injuries, none too serious, but my tooth did puncture my lip. it appears to be healing alright, but both bottom and top lips are getting seriously dry, and i have been applying lip chap and drinking water, but they are still super dry. help?

Hi,

It may be post traumatic cheilitis.

Kindly consult the dermatologist for the perfect diagnosis and proper treatment.

Vitamin B complex containing riboflavin,folic acid and niacinamide may be taken for long time.

Apply aloe vera with vitamin E cream on the lips.

Avoid licking the lips.
