Hello, from what you have describes it seems like your friend has furunculosis which is an infection of the hair follicle due to a bacterial infection. My suggestion is for her to apply mupirocin ointment twice daily for a week. It is important that she washes her labia well and keep it clean. if she develops more red boils or a high fever, she should be seen by a physician.
Hope this answers your question !
