What Could Recurring Chest Pain Around The Sternum Suggest?

I have had chest pains once a year for the last three years (occurring around the exact same time each year). The pain resides more in my sternum. It has been the exact same thing with the last time a lesser degree of pain. When I move it hurts but when I get to a comfy position it does not. I went to the ER the first two times and the first time was diagnosed with pleurisy, the second as a muscle issue. Each time ruling out any heart issues. I now have it again and am just looking for possible answers.

Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Possibility of musculoskeletal pain is more likely because your pain is more with movements and relieved when you are in comfortable position.
So follow these steps for better symptomatic relief in musculoskeletal pain.
1. Avoid movements causing pain.
2. Avoid heavyweight lifting and strenuous exercise.
3. Apply warm water pad on affected areas of chest.
4. Sit with proper back support.
5. Take painkiller and muscle relaxant drugs like ibuprofen and thiocolchicoside.
Don't worry, you will be alright with all these.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
