He doctor put him on antibiotic on a sus;ission of sinusitis but he has NO nasol symptoms. Any idea what is wrong with him?
It is necessary performing further tests to investigate the possible origin of the infection. In this regard, I would recommend performing these tests: - A chest X-ray study - A blood bacterial culture - A complete blood count, PCR, ESR - ANA and ANCA titer for rheumatological disorders - RF plasma levels - CPK plasma levels for possible myositis - An abdominal ultrasound - A urine bacterial culture
you should discuss with his doctor on the above tests.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
