What Could Painful Urination, Brown Discharge During Periods And Cramps Indicate?

Hi I have a little pain when peeing and wiping. I started my period today and on my pad its brown but when I wipe it s red and runny. Kinda weird looking. I had a bad cramp last night in my lower belly? It s been a few weeks but just started bleeding today which is on time with my period?

Hi,

Urine examination can be done to rule out UTI, if you have have pain on micturition. It's most likely UTI, take Midol teen 325/25 SOS for cramps pain etc., twice only a day. It can be simple physiological thing with no worries too.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Sunny Madar, General & Family Physician
