What Could Pain In Back Of Head, Ears And Neck With Recurring Sore Neck Indicate?

Hi. I have a pain down both sides of the rear of my head, level with both ears into my neck. there is pain when I move my neck and I am also often clearing my throat. The same pain also occurs when I swallow. I was in a car accident a long time ago and my neck sometimes gets sore but usually neck excercises relieve that pain. But this pain feels different.

Hello,

I think you are having spondyloarthrosis causing the pain on neck and head. You can do an X-ray of cervical spine to get checked. Taking anti-inflammatory drugs such Advil or Naproxen is advisable. Continue doing exercises which relieve the pain.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
