What Could Pain Across Collarbone, Headaches And Night Sweats Indicate?

I have a very sharp pain going across my collarbone and right side of back which hurts when i breathe in or talk and this began around 24 hours ago, no trauma to the area or knocks, just came on suddenly. My neck has been sore for around two weeks on the left side and I have been getting frequent headaches on the left side of my head and jaw pain. I have been going to my doctors about swollen underarms, fevers, night sweats, numbness and tingling in my arms and legs for two years and been sent for countless scans and blood tests, all to no avail. I have an underactive thyroid which was diagnosed when I was 18 and has been well managed since, however I have also had glandular fever in the past (Aged 17) and pneumonia (Aged 26). I am now 28 years old, female. Any advise would help.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

As far as your age is concerned from your history, the possibility of chest pain is ruled out. Your symptoms could be due to Cervical radiculopathy, herniated disc or cervical rib. Your symptoms like numbness, tingling sensation, radiating pain from neck to shoulder, arms, jaws, headache all goes with the above mentioned condition.

I advise you to take analgesics, steroid injections would be helpful and good posture of neck while sleeping, proper movement of the neck and regular exercises.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Yogapriya Vasudevan, General & Family Physician
