I do not have any burning or itching but I have lower back pain and an urgency to urinate and nothing comes out. What can this be from? I also take 2 blood pressure pills and a water pill. Thank you for writing to Health Care Magic

I think that you have a Urinary Tract Infection or a reaction to the medication. The bad smell that you have is occurring due to some bacteria which is causing the infection.

The best way for you to get treated is to see a Doctor and then take antibiotics to help you. Since there is a pungent smell, I think that you have an bacteria that breaks down ammonia. If the antibiotics do not help you, then you may have a resistant bacterial infection.

Hope this helps you.
