What Could It Be If Had Pain, Pop Feeling In The Throat Which Hurts To Yawn?

I feel pain and a weird pop feeling above and to the left of my adams apple. Started about a week ago. Also hurts when I yawn. Should I have it checked out or is it just normal swelling and will go away on its own. I noticed it immediately after finishing a milkshake....

ENT Specialist 's  Response
hello and welcome to health care magic,

You seem to have developed an infection which could be due to the cold milkshake. Most of the times the infection will become better in a couple of days. So all you need to do is take warm fluids and paracetamol for the pain.

Try also saline warm water gargle

If you do not get better in a day or two or if the symptoms are increasing then you must consult an ENT as soon as possible. Meanwhile do steam inhalation with menthol twice a day for a week or two.

get well soon

regards
