I have some kind of bite on my arm. There is no pain associated with it. The center mark is raised and red with a 1/2 inch white area around it. Surrounding that is a dark (sort of dark and purplish like a bruise) ring about the size of a nickel. I noticed it about 5 hours ago and I can tell that the center is more inflamed/red than previously. Is this something I should just watch or should I visit an urgent care center? Thanks, Becky
The most likely diagnosis of your condition based on the description of the lesions is papular urticaria or insect bite hypersensitivity. You should try to use mosquito nets as much as possible. Topical mild steroid cream like fluticasone can be applied over the affected area. Oral antihistamines like fexofenadine may also be used. Regards
