What Could Headache, Stiff Neck And Painful Jaw Following A Nap Indicate?

After work I took an hour nap when I woke up my head was pounding. I took tylonel then I became nauseous. Its been about 3 hours I ve experienced a drugged feeling. My jaw feels a little numb with a stiff neck and I feel weak. Its unlike any migraine I ve felt. Should I be worried?

Hello dear,
Thanks for being on healthcaremagic.com.I understand your concern. You appear to have a syndrome of acute onset headache, nausea, drowsiness and neck stiffness. This syndrome needs urgent evaluation. Some serious pathologies like meningitis or a cerebrovascular accident needs to be ruled out straightaway. Please visit an emergency room and get an urgent computerised tomographic scan of the head(CT head) done to rule out these pathologies.Meanwhile, analgesic, like naproxen or tramadol can be taken to relieve urgent symptoms.I hope it helps.
