What Could Hard, Pointy Bump In The Joint Of Middle Toe Suggest?

Is there a way to upload a picture? I have a hard, pointy, bump that formed on the side of the last joint of the second toe (toward the middle toe). Fortunately, it does not get rubbed by shoes or the other toe, so, no irritation. It is not painful, but is very ugly. May be causing a little numbness when the foot is in certain positions. It does not move when moving the skin above it. Over time, it has gotten larger and more pointed. It now has a sharp point that looks like it may push through the skin eventually. My second toes are a good bit longer than the big toes, and I have jammed/possibly broken them at times. Thanks for your help!

Hi,

You can upload photos at : attachments@healthcare magic.com

With regards to causes, they would include arthritis and other problems related to bone calcification.

Looking forward to have the photos in!
