What Could Growing Knot At The End Of Keloid Scar On Neck Indicate?

My daughter had a branchial cleft cyst removed from her neck about 4 years ago....scar turned into a keyloid scar, and we did laser treatment as well as steriod injections....now there is a knot(small but has gotten bigger) at the end of the scar. Suggestions on what this could be caused by?

A keloid scar is a thick raised scar. The growing knot at the end of the scar may be overgrowing keloid. Keloid scars do not maintain boundaries and always overgrow on all sides of the wound. She may require further treatment for ablation of keloid are corticosteroid injections, laser therapy, low dose radiation therapy, cryotherapy or freezing or surgical removal.

The knot is overgrown keloid. Even after successful flattening of keloid, it may grow back. As you have tried corticosteroids and laser therapy, you can go for cryotherapy.
