What Could Episodes Of Dizziness With Heart Palpatations With Numbness In Eye Suggest?

Hello, I m a 36 year old woman. I ve had episodes of dizziness for over a year. When ever I get one of these episodes I also get rapid heart palpatations; feels like someone is squeezing my heart. I workout every day and even teach indoor cycling so as far as staying active; I feel I m good about that. For the past few months though I m lacking energy and in the past 2 days all I want to do is sleep. I m sleeping all through the night and yet I m up for about half an hour and feel like I can sleep again. The last thing is that I ve been bloated for 3 days now. My stomach hurts so much and it doesn t matter what I try to eat or if I take an antiacid...it s not helping. OH, I almost forgot; last week my left eye felt numb and would shift downwards. My eye isn t shifting anymore but it still feels numb a times.

The palpitation is worth pursuing. An EKG in the office rarely catches the problem. I usually recommend a long term monitor to try and catch the abnormal rhythm and tie it to the symptoms that you feel.

There are also tools that allow you to record your rhythm with the telephone. If a monitor finds nothing, you may want to look into one of these apps. If your symptoms only occur every few months, its great to try and catch it with the electronic device that goes every where that you go.

If you can catch the rhythm, you can define it, see if its a worry and know how to treat it.
