I have a dark ring around each calf just below the calf muscle. I m 54 with no health issues I know about. At first, I thought it was an odd tan, but it has been with me for months now. It is about 1 inch in width and around each calf in the same spot.
The most probable diagnosis of the condition based on the description of the lesions is acanthosis Nigricans.Asymptomatic hyperpigmented lesions on thighs suggests the possibility of the same.Insulin resistence needs to be ruled out. Oral tablets containing alpha lipoidic acid can also be used. Topical depigmenting agents like kojic acid and arbutin can also be used.Regards
