Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Could Chest Fluttering Be With Dizziness And Light Headed While Normal Ecg Reports?
feeling fluttering in my chess. they are painless but it seems as though my heart is actually stopping. i get dizzy and light headed when this happens. three ecgs they were normal. heart beat is always between 60 to 79.the fluttering lis so strong at times i feel my hears is going to explode.
Thanks for the query. From a cardiovascular perspective, the most important thing would be to determine if your symptoms come from a benign cause, such as premature ectopic beats (beats out of synch) versus an arrythmia like atrial fibrillation or atrial flutter, which may require different treatment. An EKG is like a photo, a snapshot in time, and you may need a longer period of monitoring either with a Holter monitor or an event monitor depending on the frequency of those symptoms. I encourage you to discuss these options with your provider.
Hope this helps wish you the best,
