What Could Cause Swollen And Tender Nose After Treating Dry Nose Bleeding With Netti Pot, Humidifier And Vaseline?

I had nose bleeds from dry nose that I treated with netti pot, vaseline and humidifier in bed room. A week later my nose swelled up, turned red & is tender to the touch. An EN&T Dr. looked in nose & said no signs of infection & that inside looked better than week before. No explanation for swelling nose which is getting worse.

Good day!
manipulated nose resulting in these swellings could indicate staph infection which is a common resident of nose. Kindly dont manipulate it.it will resolve spontaneously. Keep the nose lubricated with liquid parraffin and avoid digital trauma. seek Otorhinolaryngologist help for further management
good luck
