What Could Cause Swelling Burns In Fingers That Subsides When Not Used For Washing Clothes & Utensils?

hi this is pratika. i noticed red rashes in my right hand fingers and it burns a lot while eating. lots of swelling also developed for that reason i cant fold my fingers. It disappear automatically if i am not washing utensils or washing cloth. i consult with skin specialist , and he suggested Dewsoft & Execare F.

Hi. Thanks for posting your concern at HCM

You seem to be having Chronic cumulative irritant contact dermatitis OR Housewife's dermatitis. As the name suggest it is the result of chronic cumulative exposure to soaps, detergents etc which cause irritant dermatitis leading to painful cracks and fissures.

Using a topical steroid+antibiotic combination cream (as prescribed by your dermatologist, execare-F) helps to heal the cracks and irritant dermatitis. Thereafter, avoiding exposure to these irritants and using a good moisturizer regularly provides symptomatic relief and prevents recurrences.
