What Could Cause Stomach Pain?

My boyfriend feels like he was punched in the stomach over and over. He has never felt pain like this before. He's not nauseous and feels good other than that. Doesn't seem like appendix. He refuses to go to the doctor so I am trying to get an idea of what it could be to convince him otherwise.
Thanks!
