What Could Cause Sore, Patchy Rashes On Face With Lump Under The Skin On Neck?

Hi! I've got a sore rash on the side of my face, from the bottom of my jaw to right in front of my ear. Not all the way, but there are patches in this area. I'm slightly unshaven and when i catch my hair that's what causes the pain.

I have just noticed that i have a lump under the skin on my neck. Just under the jaw sort of below my ear.

The rash and lump are on the same side

Hi,

Thanks for consulting HealthcareMagic!

It can be due to fungal or viral infection. However, physical exam and
investigations are necessary to rule out serious things like squamous or basal cell carcinoma as this is one of the common sites.

Hope I have answered your query.
